How marketplace fees depend on level, game, and category.
Marketplace fees are a percentage of the order total (basis points) taken on the seller side at settlement. There is no separate buyer-side “platform markup” added on top of the listing price in the standard checkout transparency copy — buyers see the seller’s listing total for the line; wallet applies first; any card or crypto remainder follows the fees shown at checkout (Checkout: wallet, card & crypto).
Levels are computed from your trailing 30-day performance (paid sales, paid orders, and positive feedback share for 4–5★). The live Seller rewards page shows your current level, progress bars, and any gating messages.
| Level | Fees (direction) | Unlocks & benefits (summary) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Baseline — typically the highest fee % in your category row | Full seller access once verified; highlight credits accrue per Seller rewards rules (lifetime sales + donations) |
| 2 | Lower than level 1 for the same listing type | Unlocks bulk import & export (with verification); fees begin stepping down in several categories |
| 3–4 | Further reductions vs level 2 | Stronger fee tiers; better positioning for reward / highlight mechanics tied to performance |
| 5 | Lowest fee band we publish for your category / game / sale kind | Best fee tier; still subject to behaviour policy and dispute outcomes |
Highlights (24h listing promotion) and donation-linked highlight credits are separate from level math but show on the same hub — see Seller rewards & highlights.
Your seller level (1–5), game (OSRS vs RS3), category (gold, items, accounts, services/boosting), and set-priced vs auction all affect the fee bps (basis points; 100 bps = 1%). Higher levels generally mean lower fees in the same category.

RS3 items/accounts follow their own matrix rows — always trust the live fee shown with your listing and checkout.

Fee percentages are implemented in code and must match settlement — if marketing copy here ever disagrees with checkout, trust checkout and support.
