Being able to read a forum does not necessarily let you create a thread, reply, attach files, or use every other control. The available actions depend on the category, thread, your signed-in account, and any restrictions.

Check these common causes

• You are signed out or have a required account step to complete.
• The category is public to read but restricts new threads or replies.
• A thread is locked, closed, archived, or under review.
• The area is limited to an eligible audience, such as approved sellers or staff.
• Your account has an active forum restriction.
• Attachments have a separate permission, allowed-type policy, or quota.

Read the visible message beside the unavailable action. Do not assume that another user's controls will match yours.

Official announcement areas

For example, Zezima AI Updates is public to read. Admins create the official update threads; eligible signed-in users can reply when the thread is open. It does not accept attachments.
