Auctions explained — bids, wallet holds & winning your order

Before you bid Read the full listing, check the seller and decide your maximum budget. A bid is a commitment to buy if you win, not a request for a price.

1 · Open an auction Choose the correct game under Accounts or Items, then browse the auction view. Check the item/account details, current bid, minimum next bid and live end time.

2 · Check your wallet Bidding uses available onsite wallet funds. Add funds beforehand if needed, and wait for the deposit to be confirmed. Money already reserved for another action is not available for this bid.

3 · Place your bid Enter Your bid (USD) at or above the displayed minimum, then choose Place bid. Item auctions also ask for your RuneScape name (RSN). Review the amount before you submit.

4 · Understand the reservation Your bid reserves wallet funds. If another bidder outbids you, that bid's hold is released back to your available balance. Check Wallet → Reserved balance for the reservation details. Do not treat a reserved amount as a second charge or as money that has disappeared.

5 · Follow the live timer Valid bids close to the finish can extend the auction. Use the current timer and bid shown on the auction page. If a buyout option such as Buy now is available, it opens checkout at the stated buyout price.

6 · If you win The winning amount is applied automatically from the held wallet funds when the auction settles. Open Orders or the Auction won notification to find the resulting order. Do not pay the winning bid a second time.

Receive the right delivery For an account, view the automatically released details in the paid order and inspect them. For an item, use order chat to arrange the in-game trade. Choose Mark as received only after checking what you received.

A hold or result looks wrong? Open the related wallet reservation and order first. If the result remains unclear, ask live support with the auction/order reference. Keep private wallet and payment information out of public forum replies.
